About the Donate Button

Dear reader,
I know what you're thinking. Here's this asshole trying to get money out of me. I can't even read anything for free anymore without someone whining about "contributions" and "donations". Damn it.
But before you hate me, hear me out.
I believe that art is supposed to be a multi-sided experience. In the case of writing there are two sides: Me, the writer, and You, the reader. The relationship does not work unless we trust one another. You wouldn't want to read something that you knew someone was only putting out to get money from and I wouldn't want to put my writing out there just to be shamed for asking to be paid for it.
I most certainly am not telling you, "PAY ME FOR MY BRILLIANT WORDS AND CONTRIBUTION TO THE WRITING COMMUNITY!"
What I am trying to do is be a writer. And as you might know, writers are poor. I like being a writer, so I kind of don't care about being poor. If you read my blog and like it, but don't want to pay for my words, I understand. That's what I write books for. But if you see something you like on my blog and are moved to give me a dollar, I didn't want to hold you back.
That's all.
Happy reading. : )
